    About Sergio's Window Tales 

    It's a snowy winter day, and Sergio has the perfect place to watch the world go by - his favorite spot beside the window. 

    Outside, birds flutter around the feeder, squirrels scamper through the snow, and other backyard visitors come and go. But Sergio doesn't simply watch them. He wonders what they might be doing, where they might be going, and what adventures they might be having. 

    Soon, Sergio's imagination takes over. 

    With his favorite toy friends by his side, the ordinary sights outside his window become the inspiration for stories filled with movement, adventure, and fun. Sergio discovers that when you slow down, pay attention, and use your imagination, there is no telling where a story might take you. 

    Written for children ages 3-6, Sergio's Window Tales celebrates observation, imagination, creativity, storytelling, and the simple joy of noticing the world around us. 

    Main Characters 

    Sergio: A curious gray-and-white cat with a wonderful imagination. 

    Sergio's Animal Friends: The birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other backyard visitors whose activities outside the window inspire Sergio's stories. 

    Sergio's Toy Friends: His faithful companions who join him as his imagination transforms an ordinary winter day into something much more.

    John D. Anello III 

    John D. Anello III is a retired music teacher who spent over 25 years helping young people discover creativity, curiosity, and imagination. Sergio's Window Tales is his first picture book, inspired by his cat, Sergio, and the small adventures that happen just outside a window. When he isn't writing, John likes to direct community choirs, visit schools and libraries, and create stories that encourage children to slow down, notice the world around them, and use their imaginations. John lives in southeastern Wisconsin with his wife, Kelly, and their cat, Sergio. He started writing children's books hoping to have stories to share with his future grandchildren.
